Sweet corn, also called sugar corn or pole corn, is sometimes eaten on the cob, dripping with melted butter. This is a summertime treat in many parts of the U.S. Corn, despite what some people say, does actually offer some nutritional value. It contains beta carotene, B vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium and potassium.

Also don’t allow your pup to eat the corn directly off the cob or to chew on the cob. The cob could potentially become a choking hazard. Not only that, but if swallowed, the cob could create an intestinal blockage. What if my puppy eating too much corn? If your puppy eats too much corn, he could potentially develop an upset stomach, nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea. Corn’s OK to serve your pup, but make it a once in a while addition, and only in small portions to avoid these health problems.
