Should You Leave Your Dog In The Dark?

Can my dog eat sweet corn? Can my puppy eat sweet corn? Yes! While corn is not traditionally thought of as something a dog would eat, dogs can enjoy this yummy veggie. You should only feed your dog fresh or frozen corn and stay completely away from canned corn. Canned corn contains too much sodium, which can be a health hazard, as it can be for you, too. Also don’t allow your pup to eat the corn directly off the cob or to chew on the cob. The cob could potentially become a choking hazard. Not only that, but if swallowed, the cob could create an intestinal blockage. What if my puppy eating too much corn? If your puppy eats too much corn, he could potentially develop an upset stomach, nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea. Corn’s OK to serve your pup, but make it a once in a while addition, and only in small portions to avoid these health problems.

Wow! I’m happy my dogs can enjoy this treat with me and my family at summer. We love sweetcorn so much but I’ve been reluctant about feeding it to the dogs. This will also be good news to my daughter!

Sweet corn? I’ve once fed that to my dog and we ended up having the vet come over. I’m not sure if it was a canned one or I gave him too much. Whichever the case, if you want to give that to your dog, you may want to consider staying away from certain canned products and also feeding them too much.

And let’s not forget the ones that are spiced or garnished with some foods that’s harmful for them. I have once fed my dog corn that I used for salad dressing and it had onions in it. He ate everything and that was the day I learned that dogs do not eat onions. Well, I actually learned that the hard way.

I also never knew that my dog would appreciate corn. My vet has always told us that it’s a yummy veggie but I have never come around to feed my dog that. We have a lot of that in our farm and so getting some for him won’t be a problem. Thanks for the recommendation.
