Omg! I didn’t know it could be harmful, my dog had some marjoram in his food a while ago. I’m not seeing any adverse symptoms yet but I think I will just call a vet right away.
Oh oh. I think I’ve heard about this Marjoram a while back. That should be in the hospital or something. I went with my dog for his usual dose and we met a dog that was diagnosed of Marjoram poisoning. He didn’t look too good and since then I doubled up on how cautious I am with my dog’s foods.
A dog who ate marjoram sure won’t look good. It’s not a nice experience. I’ve watched 3 dogs in the neighborhood go through that. We have the herbs in abundance around here and so many dogs have easy access to it. Marjoram contains toxins that can cause health problems in dogs and that’s why we are working towards having less of it around areas that have more dogs.
Yes, this marjoram has been known to cause gastrointestinal problems and low blood sugar. It’s best not to delay if your dog ate that. Rushing him to the hospital will definitely help you both.
