Pattypan squash is a summer squash that’s small, round, and looks slightly flattened. These cute flattened squashes come in a variety of colors including white, green and yellow. Pattypan squash can be cooked and used in a variety of recipes—everything from pan-fried with other veggies, to grilled and baked. These squashes are healthy and packed with nutrition including vitamins A, C, B6, folate, magnesium, potassium and more.

Can my dog eat pattypan squash? Yes! Can my puppy eat pattypan squash? Again, yes! Squash is a very healthy and nutritious veggie for dogs. You’ll need to peel the squash and remove the seeds before cooking this yummy veggie for your pup. After this, you can steam it to help soften the flesh and make it easier for your fur baby to digest. It’s easy to add pattypan squash to your dog’s regular dog food. What if my dog ate too much squash? Too much of anything isn’t good, even something as healthy as squash. Your pup would probably develop an upset tummy and possible diarrhea, but that’s about it.

Yaay! Pattypan squash are too healthy not to feed a dog with! I included it in my dog’s diet a while back. I have always known it would be great for dogs.

Yeah, squash is very healthy and also nutritious for dogs of any breed. Though people make mistake of feeding their dog the squash without removing the seeds, it’s really not safe even though they claim that they cook it for long to soften it well. It’s better not to risk your dog’s health so try to remove it entirely before feeding it to them.

That’s one of the things people do for the Internet. I saw a video online of a dog owner feeding her dog squash with the seed and she was claiming that it’s healthier that way. The video showed the dog eating the squash but I don’t know if he ate the seed. I really don’t know why people would always like to deviate from the norm.

Pattypan squash is amazing for dogs both health and nutrition wise. You can add it to his food and you’ll be sure he will love it. The three dogs I’ve had, I gave them all and they loved it. As long as you feed them moderately and it’s tender, your dog would enjoy it.
