Kale is a leaf cabbage and is considered a very healthy leafy green. Kale is chocked full of nutrition and includes Vitamins A, B6, C, & K, copper, potassium, magnesium, and more. This yummy leafy green veggie can be enjoyed raw or cooked—enjoy it in a salad, or enjoy it steamed, sautéed, or as an addition to a healthy soup. And don’t forget—you can also add this healthy veggie to your favorite smoothies.

Can my dog eat kale? Yes—your dog can enjoy the health benefits of kale. Can my puppy eat kale? Yes, your puppy can also enjoy kale, but only in moderation. It’s usually best to cook veggies (kale’s easy to steam) before serving them to your food baby. What would happen if my dog ate too much kale? Only give your dog kale in small amounts and as an occasional treat. Too much kale could cause him to have diarrhea or even lead him to developing bladder stones and kidney trouble.

Bladder stones? Kidney trouble? I’ll need to stop feeding my dog kale for a while. I include lots of it in his meals. Thanks for this timely information.

This Kale is very much recommended for dogs as it has a lot of nutrients they can all benefit from at different ages. Vitamins, copper and more in this vegetable is what your dog really needs. Best to steam it though. Just so they don’t have any issue with it when feeding them.

I’ve once fed my dog too much of this and he was vomiting for days. The vet visited twice and I must say that we had long talks about dog foods which made me realise our dog’s feeding process requires a lot of patience and lots of research too. Lol.

That’s true for one thing. I know that if you lack patience, you may struggle a bit with how you go about feeding your dogs and also monitor them when you are also eating yours because they can always find their way to the trash can and help themselves to the food wrapper you’ll dump there later and go to bed.
