I don’t eat kidney beans, I don’t like them. However, my neighbor brought in some food which she had made for her dog and was leftover, maybe because of my bias towards kidney beans I decided I’d find out first. Thanks for this clarification. You just save me extra stress.

I actually cook my own kidney beans till they are tender before giving it to my dogs but they still suffer from excess gas and diarrhea separately. I hope I’m not cooking it wrongly? They actually love it but it disturbs them so I tried to stop them from eating it

Be sure that you are not feeding them too much of it or adding spices to it. If the beans is properly cooked and without spices and also served just moderately, it shouldn’t give your dog a problem. Well, unless they have a problem digesting it, and in that case, you may need to get a vet to check them out.

Hmmm. Canned kidney beans, or adding spices, onions, garlic to thcan-my-dog-eat-bean-sprouts puppy? I would never have guessed. I add those and sometimes use the canned beans but didn’t know it is actually a problem. What a resourceful site this is!
