Groundnuts, also known as peanuts, are a common snack for most of us (who aren’t allergic to them!). Peanuts can be a healthy snack depending on how they’ve been prepared and how they’re used in cooking. This versatile nut can be made into peanut butter, used in salads, stir fries and more. Not only that, but groundnuts offer quite a bit of nutrition, including fiber, protein, Vitamins B6, E, niacin, pantothenic acid, choline, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium and more.
Can my dog eat peanuts? The short answer is yes, but it depends on how they’ve been prepared. Peanuts that have been roasted and salted should not be fed to your fur baby. They’re loaded with too much salt that could cause health problems. Instead, treat your pup with dry-roasted, unsalted peanuts. They can also enjoy peanut butter that’s low in sugar and sodium. You should make peanuts a rare treat, as they’re also high in fat. Feeding them too often to your pet may lead him to gain weight, etc. If the peanuts are still in the shell, be sure to remove this before giving them to your dog. Can my puppy eat peanuts? Yes, but only in moderation and as described above. Be aware that if your dog eating too many peanuts, he could develop digestive problems or a condition such as pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas).

And that was how I made a mistake and fed my puppy peanuts that are still in the shell. I don’t really know how that happened, but it turned out bad.
Jeez. Sorry it had to turn out that way. I also learnt the hard way not to feed my dog with the shell. We have to make sure to remove it before giving them to our dog. And it’s best if given as a treat so they don’t have issues with digestion and all that.
Oh, how did I not remember that peanuts that have been roasted and salted are not really healthy and should not be fed to our fur babies. I did yesterday but she’s not showing any sign of anything.
Just like peanuts can make humans add excess weight it could also make dogs add excess weight. Pet parents need to be careful with this as it can be easy to constantly feed their dogs excessively with what they eat normally, such as peanuts.
