Methodology:
A list of dog breeds was compiled from the official American Kennel Club (AKC) website. A total of 281 dog breeds were included in the study. Each breed was compared based on its corresponding Instagram hashtag. Breeds such as Bolognese, Boxer, and Shikoku, which all needed the modifier ‘dog’ added to the hashtag to return relevant results. The number of posts for each dog breed was counted and compiled into a ranked list.
