These dog treats are made with veggie glycerin and protein, corn syrup, and even smoked bacon! The treats also include cage-free chicken fat. They contain plenty of protein and are a healthy snack for your dog. The sticks are very tasty and easy to digest.
The only issue we found with this product is that it does contain grains. If your dog is sensitive or allergic to grains or has health issues made worse by grains, then you may want to get a different doggie treat.
Reviewers of this product have given an 83% rating, with many reviewers saying their dogs love these treats! One reviewer also mentions cutting the sticks into smaller pieces to use as rewards for their dog. What a great idea!
2). Heart to Tail Dog Treats with Bacon
Here’s another Hear to Tail dog treat that many dogs find scrumptious! These treats are in strips and are bacon flavored. Who doesn’t love bacon, including your dog?
While these treats do include real smoked bacon, this isn’t the first ingredient on the list. The first ingredient listed is wheat flour. They also contain soy flour, veggie glycerin, corn syrup, corn flour, and more.
However, no artificial colors, preservatives, or other bad things are included in these yummy dog treats.
One of the downsides of this product is that it does seem to upset the stomach of some dogs. Reviewers also mentioned the pieces in the package are smaller than what’s shown on the product packaging.
So, you may want to avoid these treats if your dog has a sensitive stomach or is sensitive/allergic to any of the ingredients. Otherwise, we’re sure your fur baby will love these bacon-flavored dog treats!
3). Heart to Tail Complete Nutrition
This is a dog food that may be a good option for those on a budget; however, it doesn’t really offer the healthy ingredients a dog needs. While Heart to Tail Complete Nutrition does seem to provide all the nutrition a dog needs, the ingredients aren’t so great.
This dog food includes all the nutrition your dog needs. On the ingredient list, you’ll find there are just the right amounts of vitamin E, vitamin D3, choline, potassium, and more.
Reviewers have said their canine companions really love this dog food, and it’s an affordable, healthy option.
However, there are some things to keep in mind about this food. For one thing, it’s made with corn grain as the first ingredient. This isn’t considered a healthy ingredient for dogs. Instead, it’s a filler that doesn’t provide much nutritional value. In addition, this food seems to contain meat by-products, which may not be a good option for some dogs.
It seems that Aldi has made this an affordable product but has mainly used by-product fillers for the protein. Meat doesn’t seem to make it on the list as a whole product. Remember that high-quality dog food will start off with meat as the first ingredient on the label. And this will be a whole meat, not by-products.
For this reason, you may want to avoid this dog food product.
4). Heart to Tail Beef Stew with Rice, Carrots & Peas
The Heart to Tail Beef Stew with Rice, Carrots & Peas comes in a tin, and it does seem to offer complete nutrition for our canine friends. What’s more, this wet dog food contains no artificial colors or flavors. On the ingredients list, beef is listed as the second ingredient. The product does not contain gluten, soy, or wheat and contains rice, which is a healthy carb.
The problem with this food is that it doesn’t offer very much protein, and beef is the second ingredient on the list. However, this dog food is much better than the previous dry food we just reviewed above. This dog food also doesn’t seem to contain fillers.
We’re happy to recommend this product but wish the protein was a little bit higher.
5). Pure Being Chicken & Brown Rice
This is another of Aldi’s dog food brands, which does come under the Heart to Tail name. Their Pure Being Chicken & Brown rice seems to be a higher quality dog food than their Heart to Tail brand. The Pure Being line includes high-quality ingredients without artificial preservatives.
This dog food does provide the right nutrition for your dog, and it all comes from premium ingredients. It contains a high amount of fiber, which helps your dog to stay regular. The formula also contains a nice variety of veggies.
This is truly a dog food product that keeps things simple and pure. You won’t find fillers or other ingredients that are harmful to your dog. The first two ingredients on the label are chicken and chicken meal, both of which are healthy options for our canine companions. The formula also includes turkey and fish, as well as probiotics.
One note, this dog food does contain canola oil. Canola is completely safe and non-toxic for dogs. However, it’s a heavily processed oil and made from genetically modified crops.
So, overall, we can highly recommend this dog food as a healthy option for your fur baby! He will enjoy the taste and receive all the nutrition he needs to stay active, happy, and healthy!
6). Pure Being Salmon & Potatoes Recipe
Aldi’s Pure Being Salmon & Potatoes Recipe is a dry dog food, which offers a hearty meal for your fur baby. This formula is based on fish, so you can be sure it provides plenty of healthy fatty acids. These are important to help keep a dog’s coat and skin healthy and shiny.
This canned dog food doesn’t contain any artificial colors or flavors, and the very first ingredient is salmon. Salmon is a very healthy protein for dogs! In addition, the product contains no wheat, corn, or soy. So, this is a healthy dog food for dogs who have sensitivities or allergies to these ingredients.
The first ingredient on the list is salmon, followed by chicken meal, sweet potatoes, garbanzo beans, and more. This dog food also contains probiotics, which help to keep your dog’s digestive tract regular and healthy.
One more note—we also found a canned version of this dog food available, which might be a better option for dogs who prefer wet dog food.
7). Heart to Tail Dental Sticks
This is another dog treat that Aldi has included in their Heart to Tail brand. Many people are concerned about their dogs’ teeth and may want to consider products of this type.
