Can my dog eat zucchini? Can my puppy eat zucchini? Yes, zucchini is safe for dogs and is a very healthy addition to their diet. While zucchini is safe for dogs, you’ll need to take some precautions before serving it to your fur baby. Be sure cut it into bite-sized pieces and then cook it. This helps make the veggie digestible for you pup. When cooking, avoid adding in other ingredients including oil, salt, onions, garlic, etc. These can be toxic to your pet. I always thought that cooking it before giving the Courgette to my dog can actually cause it to lose nutrients. I hope I have not been feeding my dog wrongly because I don’t cook it and I’m not sure I need a sick dog in my hands now.

My dog had zucchini yesterday and it was in a salad with some garlic and onion powder sprinkle. Apparently the zucchini is safe for him contrary to my fears but I now have new fear about the garlic powder. Although he’s not shown any harmful symptoms yet, I really do hope he’s okay. Any advice or tip for me and my dog please?

Hmm. Just hearing that for the first time, but I don’t really mind. As long as it’s safe for my dog, I’ll be on the lookout for it when next I’m shopping for her food. I just hope I’ll know how to go around it and make it edible for her. Lol.

Lolx. I know what that’s like. Your dog will definitely love zucchini and it’s safe for dogs. Just ensure that you cook it well till it becomes tender and that it is cut into bite-sized pieces before serving it to her. Just to be sure your dog can digest it and not choke on it.

I love Zucchinis myself. They are packed with essential nutrients which makes them more interesting for humans and dogs. My dog will definitely benefit from the vitamins, niacin, zinc etc since he’s still a growing dog.
