Not only is this seaweed nutritional, but it’s also used for medicinal purposes, including soothing digestive troubles, help with respiratory problems and more. Irish moss is packed with fiber, Vitamin K, calcium, copper and much more. It’s often made into nutritious broths and is popular in raw recipes for use as a thickener.

Not only will it help if your pup has respiratory problems, but it also calms his digestive tract. Can my puppy eat Irish moss? Definitely! What if my dog eating too much Irish moss? Too much of anything is not good, including Irish moss. Too much Irish moss could cause your pup to have digestive problems. You also need to first make sure the moss is dried and ground into a powder, then sprinkle a small amount (about ¼ teaspoon) on his regular dog food. Irish moss is known to form a gel when it becomes wet—if your dog has too much, it could actually create an intestinal blockage, which is a serious medical problem. He only needs small amounts to get the nutritional and health benefits from Irish moss.

Good to know I can feed my dog with irish moss. I was first afraid of intestinal blockage for him but your post has allayed my fears. Thanks!
Yum! My dog totally love the Irish moss! I do sprinkle it on his food once in a while and he enjoys it and finishes the food faster than I can say Toks. But I’ll try not to make it too regular since it can cause him to get sick.
Yeah, it’s a very healthy choice when you are looking for something to spice up your dog’s diet. The benefits are amazing especially helping out with respiratory problems and calming digestive tract as mentioned here.
Hmmm. How do I seem to not like to get this for my dog when I see it? I guess I never thought it would add any nutritional value to his diet but now I think otherwise.
