Treatment of Sultana Ingestion in Dogs

After this, the vet may treat your dog with an IV for fluids and to administer medications. They will treat other symptoms as they arise. The vet will also work to support the kidneys if your dog has developed kidney failure after eating sultanas.
In some cases, your dog may need to be hospitalized until he’s in stable condition.
The prognosis is best for dogs who receive prompt treatment. But survival also depends on many other factors, too, such as how many sultanas were eaten, whether or not the dog has suffered kidney damage, and more.
