The following year, JetBlue entered the airline industry’s first and largest U.S.-wide partnership with Continental Airlines. The alliance allows passengers to fly with one airline code and book flights on either partner’s website or app with only one fare purchased at either airline’s website or app.

JetBlue is one of the only airlines which is recognized by Skytrax, the International Air Transport Organization Rating, as providing customers with excellent service on their flights and on board products. Ratings include everything from seats to food and drinks, to the environment and facilities onboard the plane, to the staff who work in the cabin, to the ground staff who deliver the service that customers expect.

JetBlue’s animal policy regarding the passengers that would like to bring their emotional support animal is in line with guidelines published by the Department of Transportation (DOT), that govern the use of service animals and emotional support animals under the Air Carrier Access Act.

What is an Emotional Support Animal?

An emotional support animal is an animal that provides comfort and therapeutic benefits for a person with a disability. Emotional support animals provide therapeutic benefits for people who suffer from anxiety or depression, by providing physical contact, stability, and affection.

An emotional support animal does not need to be trained to perform specific tasks such as fetching things or pulling wheelchairs. Emotional support animals can be any form besides real animals. Those include miniature dogs, miniature horses, and other non-restraint animals who provide a calming effect for the owner.
