We must mention that the thrills of adopting a Havapoo shouldn’t stop you from considering important factors, such as the reason why you want a dog in the first place. For example, if you are adopting the Havapoo for your kids, it may not always be a wise idea because you may not offer the pup the kind of attention it wants – because you didn’t want it for yourself in the first place.

But, if you are particular about the dog and can take care of it, we encourage you to adopt one. Here are some of the Havapoo rescues where you can find the pup for adoption.

1.    Havanese Fanciers of Canada Rescue

As a part of the Havanese Fanciers of Canada Inc., Havanese Fanciers of Canada Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the identification, rescue and rehabilitation of Havanese.

This is important for adopters of Havapoos because you will recall that Havapoos are crossbreeds between a Poodle and a Havanese.

Havanese Fanciers of Canada Rescue also rescues and rehabilitates surrendered and lost Havanese in Canada.

As a nonprofit organization interested in the welfare of Havanese in Canada, this organization also takes the time to educate the public on all they need to know about pet stores and puppy mills. That way, intending adopters and dog rescue volunteers will know what to look for when adopting and rescuing dogs.

For the rescued dogs, this organization takes the precaution to attend to the health concerns so that the pups will live a longer and healthier life. Some of the inputs this organization makes in that regard are training and neutering the rescued dogs.

2.    HavaHeart Rescue

HavaHeart is another nonprofit organization that rescues different kinds of dog breeds, including Havapoos. Their mission is to find, rescue and provide adequate care and rehabilitation for rescued pups.

Over the last couple of years, the organization has worked tirelessly with the help of its volunteers to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home lost, abandoned, endangered, discarded and abused Havanese dogs.

Also, the organization goes the extra mile of placing the rescued dogs in foster homes because the organization doesn’t have a facility where the rescued dogs can be kept in the meantime. It is from the selected foster homes that the rescued dogs would then be picked and put up for adoption by adopters from different parts of the United States.

Moreover, HavaHeart, through the help of its volunteers, educates the public about the need to treat animals, such as dogs, with respect. The education also includes ways to neuter or spay the dogs.

3.    Picket Fence Poodle Rescue

Picket Fence Poodle Rescue is a United States dog rescue group interested in the welfare of Poodles and Poodle mixes, of which Havapoo is one.

This rescue group tends to rescue dogs in many ways, such as providing human companionship, food, shelter, neutering/spaying and love.

Picket Fence Poodle Rescue facilitates the rescue of Poodles and Poodle mixes from different situations, such as breeders, abandoned, and puppy mills. This rescue and re-home group also accepts dog surrenders from the previous dog owners who could no longer provide the care and love that the dogs need.

If you want to adopt a Havapoo from Picket Fence Poodle Rescue, you will be asked series of questions and required to fill a number of documents. Also, your disposition and view on euthanasia will be required. This is important because this dog rescue group doesn’t believe in euthanasia to control the dog population. So, they want to be sure that you do not have the same view.

4.    Creole Poodle Rescue

This isn’t a dog rescue organization per se. Instead, Creole Poodle Rescue is an online database that includes up-to-date information about different kinds of animals that need new homes. You can be sure of finding rescued dogs, such as Havapoos, on the database.

Also, you can find hundreds of directories of dog rescue organizations and shelters in Canada, the United States and Mexico. That way, you can rest assured of finding the Havapoo you want to adopt from the thousands of options on the database.

You can access the Creole Poodle Rescue database via the website, or you can send them an email.

5.    Heart of America Poodle Rescue

This is another online database that empowers adopters to quickly sort through and find the dogs they want to adopt. The database gives special preference for Poodles and Poodle mixes, such as Havapoos.

It collects and collates the data of different kinds of dog breeds available for adoptions in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Besides that, this online database also uses its platform to raise public awareness about the need to take care of abandoned, neglected and abused pets, such as dogs.

So, if you are looking for an in-house and all-around platform to find Havapoos for adoption, that platform should be Heart of America Poodle Rescue.

You can access the online database via:

Adopting a Havapoo is commendable because you will be contributing to the reduction of abandoned and abused dogs on the streets. At the same time, you will be giving those pups a second chance at love and life.

Havapoo rescue organizations and concerned groups play their roles to reduce dog abuse while offering the rescued dogs another chance to live in peace.

You can rest assured that the Havapoo rescue organizations above will have available pups for adoption when you contact them.
