The AKC may not recognize Aussiedoodles, but they are newer designer dog breeds in the United States. Many pet lovers are looking for an Aussiedoodle to adopt, and you cannot help but be in awe of why they are making that choice.

Aussiedoodles are popular for many qualities they possess, which include intelligence, playfulness, and having a wide range of color combinations.

There are also several variants of the doodle for you to select from, such as Miniature Aussiedoodle.

Before any other thing, you have to decide on the type of dog you need in your home. You also have to consider the options of buying a new Aussiedoodle or adopting one that has been trained. The latter is always preferred because it helps to save you the stress of coping with the strenuous training sessions for Aussiedoodles.

If you are interested in adopting an Aussiedoodle, there are many rescue groups where you can look in to see if they have some pups up for adoption. Some of the places to look are:

1.    Michigan Doodle Rescue Connect

Michigan Doodle Rescue Connect is a dog rescue group that connects foster parents to dogs. It is one of the rescue groups that rescues and creates the right environment for Aussiedoodles to thrive.

We must mention that Michigan Doodle Rescue Connect is primarily an owner surrender rescue, which means that they expect dogs, such as Aussiedoodles, to come forward and surrender their doodles when they can no longer take care of the dog.

Upon the surrender, this rescue group will then take up the job of evaluating the dog’s needs, re-training the dogs, and monitoring the response of the dogs to certain environments. All those are done to find the best training curve to help the pup get over the past experiences and prepare for the future with a new foster parent.

This rescue group gives the pups the ideal family setting, such as organizing movie nights outdoors for the dogs, as well as treating the pups to pancakes and other dog delicacies every weekend.

2.    Lone Star Aussie Rescue (LASR)

Lone Star Aussie Rescue (LASR) is a not-for-profit dog rescue organization. As a not-for-profit organization, the group rescues and caters to the needs of Australian shepherds, such as Aussiedoodles.

They mostly count on the donations and generosity of dog lovers who support them with dog meals and funds so they can rescue and attend to the health needs of many Australian shepherds.

Lone Star Aussie Rescue (LASR) is dedicated to helping displaced, abandoned, and neglected Aussies in Texas to get the type of life they deserved. To do that, this organization offers the trio of rescuing the displaced dogs, rehoming and rehabilitating the dogs before offering them up for adoption by loving foster parents.

Asides from offering Aussiedoodle adoptions, Lone Star Aussie Rescue (LASR) also offers a Foster Program that encourages big-hearted foster parents to foster a pet in their homes. The organization also has a Donation Station, a medium through which you can support dogs in need.

The group takes the issue of dog rescue and adoption seriously. That is why it may take a while before your foster application is processed. Besides, you are expected to be up to 18 years of age before you can be allowed to adopt an Aussiedoodle from Aussie and Me Animal Rescue.

Worthy of mention is that this dog rescue group works with several agencies and people so that its network of Aussie rescue will be extended to a broader scope. For example, the group has partnered with many people, including boarding facilities, foster homes and foster parents, dog trainers to re-train the rescued dogs, and local veterinarians to take care of the health of the rescued Aussies. The group also has a working relationship with volunteers who help at different times and in different capacities to facilitate Aussie rescue and adoption.

Foster parents will be accessed with house checks to confirm if they can take care of the Aussiedoodles they want to adopt.

Note that the adoption fees for Aussiedoodles tend to vary, depending on the medical condition of the pups and the age. For example, you may pay up to $300 to adopt Aussiedoodles below 10 years and about $200 for Aussiedoodles above 10 years.
